Announcement
The 18th edition of the International Dance Competition "Danza…che passione!” will take place on March 15th, 2020 to the Theater Orione in Rome/Italy under the Artistic Direction of Rita Galdieri.
The Competition is divided in the followings sections: Classical, Character, Neo Classical, Pas de Deux, Duo, Modern, Contemporary and Choreographic Composition.
It will be organized for young dancers of both sexes, of inclusive age among the 5 and the 11 years for the category Elementary, among the 12 and the 14 years for the category Students, among the 15 and the 17 years for the category Juniores, among the 18 and the 26 years for the category Seniores.
For Choreographic Composition section there are not limits of age.
Choreographic Composition sections is only for Groups.
Every participant to the Contest must have his own insurance certificate against accidents and his own certificate of attesting physical fitness "Healthy and strong constitution."
It is sufficient that each School (or each participant, if not included in any school) provides a self-certification valid for all the participating students.
Registrations are open.
Registration to the Contest open and must be done,
without any possible postponement, by the 07th March, 2020.

Announcement 2020
Art. 1 The Dance International competition is divided in the followings sections :
- Classical;
- Character;
- Neo Classical;
- Pas de Deux;
- Duo;
- Modern;
- Contemporary;
- Choreographic composition.
To the Classical, Character, Modern, and Contemporary sections, can
participate young dancers of both sexes, of inclusive age among the 5 and
the 11 years for category Elementary, of inclusive age among the 12 and the
14 years for category Students, among the 15 and the 17 years for category
Juniores, among the 18 and the 26 years for category Seniores.

For the Pas de Deux Section (repertoire), can participate in the related
categories young dancers between the ages of 12 and 26.
Applicants aged between 5 and 11 can partecipate (Pas de Deux/DUO)
performing only in free variations.
In the section Choreographic Composition there are no age limitations.
Choreographic Composition section is only for Groups.
Category Elementary is for dancers that had been born from March 16th , 2008
up to March 15th , 2015.
Category Students is for dancers that had been born from March 16th , 2005
up to March 15th , 2008.
Category Juniores is for dancers that had been born from March 16th , 2002
up to March 16th , 2005.
Category Seniores is for dancers that had been born from March 16th , 1993
up to March 16th , 2002.
Art. 2 The application for admission must be compiled in every part and sent away
via mail (info@danzachepassione.com) by 2020, March 7th.
Following payment receipt must be included in the mail as it follows :
a) € 60.00 for soloist of Classical Dance, Modern, Contemporary;
b) € 100,00 for Pas de Deux;
c) € 150,00 for Groups up to 6 elements
d) € 200,00 for Groups up to 10 elements;
e) € 250,00 for Groups over than 10 elements
f) € 250,00 for Choreographic Composition.
The last term for presentation of forms, without any possible postponement,
for all the sections, is 2020/03/07.
The organization won't consider forms that won't reach within such date.
It’s possible to participate to more than a section paying the relative amount of it.
To assist the Contest, the pass to entry the theatre MUST BE BOOKED (by the school from which the participant comes from), paying an amount
of € 10,00 each for expences contribution.
In the case of participants non-associated at any Dance School, they can book directly at the organization of the competition.
The pass is personal and is valid all day long.
Children up to six years of age, whose entry is free, must have the place assigned to theatre anyway, therefore it is mandatory to communicate its number during the booking.

Art. 3 The competition will take place in Rome/Italy to the Theater Orione,
Via Tortona n°7, and it will begin at 10.00 l.t..
Art. 4 On the day of the competition, at the time of the registration, competitors
will have to exhibit an identity card. If checked by date of birth and/or
the competitor's identity is different from the ones declared at the stage of
enrollment, the candidate will be excluded from the contest and will not be
entitled to any refund.
Art. 5 Competitors are kindly requested to inform the Organization of their
eventual waiver and/or absence before the beginning of competition.
Art. 6 All candidates of of Classical section must perform :
- one variation (free or from repertoire), if soloist;
- Pas de Deux, with variations and tail (repertoire), if it’s a couple of candidates.
Art. 7 For the candidates of the Classical section, only for range of age from
the 5 to 14 years (category Elementary and Students), it is suggested to
present pieces expressly arranged keeping in mind of their possibilities (free
variation of maximum duration of 2 minutes).
Art. 8 Soloist candidates, must present a piece with a maximum
duration of 3 minutes or as provided by the repertoire.
Art. 9 Pas de Deux/Duo candidates, must present a piece with a maximum
duration of 3 minutes or as provided by the repertoire
Art. 10 Groups exhibitions must have a maximum duration of 4 minutes.
Art. 11 Choreographic Composition exhibitions must have a maximum duration of
5 minutes.
Art. 12 Section Pas de Deux / Duo category will be determined by the age of the
greatest of the components.
Art. 13 a) Groups up to 6 elements can have only a participant out of age, but
belonging only to the immediately superior category(Ex. 1).
b) Groups with more than 6 elements can have 2 participants out of age, but
belonging only to the immediately superior category(Ex. 2)
Ex. 1 : in a group of "Elementary" can be present only a participant
belonging to the category "Students", in a group of "Students" can be
present only a participant belonging to the category "Yuniores", in a
group of "Yuniores" can be present only a participant belonging to the
category "Seniores".
Ex. 2 : in a group of "Elementary" can be present maximum 2 elements
belonging to the category "Students", in a group of "Students" can be
present maximum 2 elements belonging to the category "Yuniores", in a
group of "Yuniores" can be present maximum 2 elements participant
belonging to the category "Seniores".
For such motive remember that it is absolutely obligatory to send the
cards of registration within the 2020/03/07.
Art. 14 At the expiration of the maximum time expected for the exibition, the music
Will be stopped, and the competitor/s will be eliminated.
Art. 15 The jury, with careful evaluation of worth on the technical, interpretative
and aptitude abilities shown by the competitors, will choose winners, and,
to the first classified of every category, scholarships in high formation
centers and summer stage will be assigned.
The scholarships, kindly offered and personally assigned by the jurors,
can be assigned also to the participants considered by them deservingly
independently of results of the contest.
A special prize “Danza … che passione!” will be assigned to the
absolute winners.
JUDGMENT OF THE JURY IS UNQUESTIONABLE AND IRREVOCABLE.
Note : the President of the Jury has internal coordination tasks of the Jury itself but has no voting power.
Art. 16 Participants must be equipped with a USB key that must contain
the musical recording relative to the proper performance/s (.mp3 file
format). The responsible of the School (or the participant, if he is not
inserted in a School) will deliver the aforementioned USB support to the
audio engineer explaining him the content
(number/s of the track/s contents).
The recordings considered not professional (defective, with noises,
back noises, etc.) can have refused from the jury, and therefore cause of
elimination from competition.
Art. 17 The competition ladder will be online 3 days before the beginning of the
contest and sent by mail to all participants.
Art. 18 Each school will receive 1 free pass for the teacher/director or
choreographer.
Schools that will feature 20 to 40 competitors will be eligible for 2 passes.
Over 40 competitors will be awarded 3 passes.
Participants in the Contest, awaiting their turn, will have free access to the
Gallery of the Theater in the center of which, in the 1st row, will be
located the Jury.
For this reason, competitors in the Gallery, MUST maintain the maximum
silence.
Art. 19 Candidate admitted to the Competition, automatically authorizes the
organization (unless his/her own written disapproval) to freely use of
his/her own image, as well as the personal data, for promotional,
informative and statistic purposes, according to the EU law GPDR 2016;
furthermore, the competitor accepts every articles and contents
of this regulation.
Also remember that, to protect the right to privacy and
confidentiality, filming and/or photographing, at the private level,
during the course of the competition, is strictly prohibited.
Art. 20 Video and photo service will be done by professional dedicated personnel,
Then it’s not allowed to take pictures and / or record videos with private
mobile phones, cameras and video cameras.
Art. 21 In case of missed attainment of a minimum number of participants the
Organization reserves the right to unite e/o to eliminate sections and
categories.
In such case the participants are requested to perform in another section.
Art. 22 In the event that subscriptions will not reach sufficient numbers,
the Organization reserves the right to cancel the competition.
In this case the fees paid for registration will be completely returned.
